Binary to Denary Conversion
To convert a binary number to denary, follow this method:
- Write out the 8 place value headings (128, 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1)
- Write the binary number underneath, aligning the rightmost digit with the rightmost place value
- Identify all positions where there is a "1"
- Add up the place values where you have a "1"
- This sum is your denary answer
